Sage Palmer

Big Spring senior Sage Palmer, right, celebrates with teammate Cace Oburn after completing a hat trick in the Bulldogs’ 4-1 victory over Shippensburg Monday evening.

Sixty-two seconds was all the Big Spring High School soccer team needed to turn a rivalry game on its head.

The Bulldogs (1-3-1) bagged three goals against the Shippensburg Greyhounds (1-4) during a decisive 62-second stretch in the first half Monday night at Bulldog Stadium, getting a pair of goals from Sage Palmer and one from Cace Oburn to turn what had been a 1-0 deficit into a 3-1 edge. Palmer would complete his hat trick with a second-half tally, resulting in a 4-1 Big Spring victory.
