It will likely be a quiet primary election this May for the Newville area candidates seeking four-year seats on the Big Spring School Board, with all of the Democratic and Republican nominations being uncontested.

But come November, barring a surprise write-in winner or third-party candidate appearing on the ballot, Republican incumbents John Wardle and Alexis Blasco-Hurley, two of the shortest tenured board members, will seek re-election and be opposed by Democratic challengers Terri Myers and Ursus Fedin.
