Residents and business owners in the area, especially Carlisle, have noticed delays in mail and package deliveries due to staffing issues and changes instituted by the U.S. Postal Service.

On Oct. 1, the Postal Service dropped its one- to three-day delivery of First-Class Mail to two to five days. The change is part of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s 10-year plan to cut costs and increase revenue to hopefully fix the postal service’s dire financial straits.
