The West Shore Symphony Orchestra will perform two free outdoor Juneteenth pops concerts at 6 p.m. Friday, June 18, at South Middleton Park in Boiling Springs, and 7 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Paxton Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg. The concerts, entitled ‘Our Interconnected World,’ feature popular and classical favorites from around the world including movements from Stravinsky's ‘Firebird Suite,’ featuring actors from the Sankofa African American Theatre Company, an Indian variation on Beethoven's ‘Für Elise’ arranged by Jennifer Sacher Wiley, the orchestra’s conductor and musical director, and featuring performers from the Rasiska School of Dance (pictured), and Lalo’s ‘Symphonie Espagnole’ with violin soloists Isabelle Kim (pictured) on Friday night and Grace Kenny on Saturday night.
