Civil War Reenactment

The historic Daniel Lady Farm in Gettysburg will host the 159th Antietam Civil War Battle Reenactment on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 18 and 19.

With hundreds of reenactors converging from across the region, blazing full-size cannons, the pounding of horses’ hooves, the clashing of sabers, accentuated with the smell of black powder, the 159th Antietam Civil War Reenactment promises to be a spectator’s delight this Saturday and Sunday at the Historic Daniel Lady Farm. The farm is located on Route 116 (Hanover Road), just 1 mile east of Gettysburg.

Cavalry skirmishes, artillery demonstrations, infantry skirmishes, Civil War medicine and an all-day Living History Activities Tent are just a few of the exciting sights and sounds that can be experienced. Saturday’s premier battle will be Bloody Lane, and on Sunday, West Woods.
