Candlelight Vigil

The Newville VFW hosted a candlelight vigil last Thursday to honor the lives of the 13 service members killed last month during a bombing of the Kabul airport in Afghanistan.

Last month’s withdrawal from Afghanistan and the deaths of 13 servicemen and women during the attack at the Kabul airport is weighing heavily on area Veterans.

Thursday marked a candlelight vigil outside of the Hamilton-Myers Post 6070 VFW on Greenspring Road, hosted by Freedom Team Inc. and Glenn Hope Care Farm.
