One-hundred years ago, on Nov. 1, 1920, John Walter “Jack” Hunter of Newville was born in Philadelphia to the late Victoria Ann and Walter Clayton Hunter.

At 100, Hunter, the only surviving member of his immediate family, has his wits and charm about him. He gets around with a cane, and can recall the good old days, as well as the death and destruction he witnessed overseas.
