Hannah Marsteller

Hannah Marsteller hit three homers during the Raiders’ doubleheader sweep of Kutztown Friday to give her an SU record 15 home runs this season.

Hannah Marsteller set the single-season school record for home runs and head coach Alison Van Scyoc surpassed 100 career victories on Friday as the Shippensburg University softball team swept No. 23 Kutztown, 11-2 and 8-2, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division doubleheader at North Campus Field.

Shippensburg (15-13, 13-11 PSAC East) had 12 hits in each game as its offense once erupted with fury, slugging six home runs and six doubles. It is the first time since 2013 that the Raiders have posted a road sweep at Kutztown (19-7, 16-6).
