One pitch was the difference for Tucker Chamberlin and the rest of the Shippensburg high school varsity baseball team in their Senior Night loss to the Greencastle Blue Devils Tuesday afternoon at SASHS, 3-1.

Chamberlin, the Greyhounds’ starting pitcher Tuesday, threw a two-strike fastball to his counterpart -- Greencastle starting pitcher Andrew Kerns -- with two men on in the top half of the second, and Kerns made him pay. He lifted a towering fly ball that carried over the fence in left for a 3-run home run, and that would be all the runs Kearns would need to secure the victory.
