Tucker Chamberlin

Sophomore Tucker Chamberlin started on the mound and fanned five in three innings of work during the Greyhounds’ home opener Tuesday.

The Shippensburg High School varsity baseball team was officially charged with only two errors Tuesday, but there were a number of additional plays that should have been made -- but weren’t -- resulting in a loss to the Northern Polar Bears in their home opener, 12-2.

The biggest defensive mishap occurred when the Greyhounds (1-1, 0-1 Colonial) were still very much in the game, down 4-2 in the top of the sixth inning.
