Jayden Statum

Junior point guard Jayden Statum (20 points) tied the game and gave the Greyhounds the lead with a pair of clutch jumpers inside the final minute of their win against the Waynesboro Indians Friday at SASHS.

It was gut check time for the Shippensburg High School basketball team down the stretch against the Waynesboro Indians Friday.

The Greyhounds (8-2, 8-2 Colonial) found themselves down by as much as 7 points late following an 8-0 Waynesboro (6-5, 4-4 Colonial) run midway through the fourth quarter, but the Greyhounds came storming back, finishing the game on a 12-to-3 run behind Jayden Statum and Anthony Smith to pull out a resilient 58-55 win.
