Dr. Donald N. ‘Donnie’ Miller II

Dr. Donald N. ‘Donnie’ Miller II, a 2009 Shippensburg University Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, is the founder of the SU swim teams. He sadly passed away Sept. 30, at the age of 78.

 

 

The Shippensburg University Athletics Department recently announced the passing of former swim coach and Shippensburg University Athletics Hall of Fame inductee Dr. Donald N. “Donnie” Miller II on Sept. 30. He was 78. 

Miller, inducted into the SU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009, is one of the most successful coaches in school history. He is the founder of the Shippensburg University men’s and women’s swimming teams, and the school’s natatorium was re-named in his honor in 1993.
