For the second time in three seasons, the Shippensburg High School football team saw an undefeated season end in abrupt fashion in the quarterfinals of districts, losing to Mid Penn Commonwealth foe Cedar Cliff in a District 3 Class 5A Quarterfinal Friday evening at Veterans Stadium.

The No. 6 seeded Colts (9-2) stunned the No. 3 seeded Greyhounds (11-1) thanks to their defense, holding the ‘Hounds to a season-low seven points and ending their season with a 10-7 loss.
