Greyhound junior midfielder Erica Buchheister, right, battles Big Spring’s Ava Wilson for a 50-50 ball Tuesday.

The Shippensburg high school girls soccer team was looking for a total effort from their squad to bring a halt to a three-game losing streak, and the Greyhounds stepped up and provided exactly that in what was a much-needed victory over the Big Spring Bulldogs Tuesday on the road, 3-0.

The Greyhounds recorded goals from three different sources in the victory -- Kelsey Shoap, Erica Buchheister and Trista Alleman. Defensively, goalkeeper Brynn Weber made sure the Greyhounds kept a clean sheet and denied the opposition any momentum by stopping a first-half penalty.
