Sophomore Cierra Bender pitched a complete game victory in the circle and went 3-for-4 at the plate in the Lady Greyhounds’ season-opening victory over West York Saturday.

 

Ship sophomore Cierra Bender came through with the bat and in the circle to propel the Lady Greyhounds to a victory over the West York Bulldogs in their season opener Saturday at home, 10-6.

Bender went 3-for-4 at the dish, finishing with 3 RBIs and a pair of runs scored and was also the winning pitcher, allowing 6 runs (4 earned) and 4 walks while striking out 8 in a 7-inning complete game effort.
