Recently a story was in the Chronicle about the Parx Casino proposed for Shippensburg. The story made it appear that the casino coming is definite and that the upcoming meeting with the PA Gaming Board concerns licensing of slot machines only. Please announce the meeting is at the Luhrs Conference Center at Shippensburg University at 4 p.m. May 20, and it is an opportunity for public input.

There is so much more to the story. It is well documented through independent studies done by universities across the country that there is a definite and undeniable human suffering component to casino gambling.
