Nursing home care is vital to older Americans and affects us all. Throughout my career in nursing home administration, I have seen too many times that the lack of staffing is a problem that harms people and prevents quality care.

Recently, Attorney General Josh Shapiro and U.S. Attorney Scott Brady indicted a former nursing home administrator on federal fraud charges. My heart breaks for the individuals living in that home and in all homes that value profit over care.
