Barbara A. Lynch

Barbara A. Lynch, 77, of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Green Ridge Village Home in Newville.

She was born Dec. 24, 1943, in Carlisle, the daughter of the late Paul and Betty Whitzel.

She worked for Affiliated in Shippensburg for many years.

She was known as a homebody, and enjoyed her dogs, Sable and Sammy. She loved to cook for her family and spending time with them.

She was a member of the South Mountain Chapel Brethren in Christ Church in Shippensburg.

She is survived by two daughters, Anita (Charles) Lindsey of Chambersburg and Sonja (Luther) Karper of Shippensburg; two sons, John H. Lynch III and wife, Tracy, of Shippensburg and Tony L. Lynch Sr. and wife, Kimberly, of Shippensburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers; and four sisters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2017 by her loving husband of 56 years, John H. Lynch Jr.; one sister, Dorothy Whitzel; and one son-in-law, Kyle Kirby.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Shippensburg.

Funeral Services will be held at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021, with Pastor David Erisman officiating.

A Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday in the funeral home.

Interment will be in Cleversburg Cemetery, Shippensburg.
