Constance D. Hart

Constance D. “Connie” Hart, 69, of Shippensburg, passed away on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 at the WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Wednesday, June 18, 1952, in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Robert Donald and Betty Ann Kurtz Craig.

Connie was a 1970 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. She was loved and will be missed by many. She enjoyed being around people and serving her customers at her various places of employment.

Connie loved and cherished her family and friends very much. She enjoyed collecting owls and teapots. She loved gardening and flowers, caving with her second husband, Jim, and camping and going to the beach with her boys. Connie loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, and the several add-on kids that she enjoyed spending every moment with.

Connie is survived by her second husband of 24 years, James A. “Jim” Hart, whom she married Jan. 18, 1997; three sons, Frank E. (Wendy) Coover, Orrstown, Charles A. (Marcy) Coover Sr. and Patrick L. Coover, all of Shippensburg; one daughter, Amanda R. (Shaun) Hann, Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two stepbrothers, Steven and Brad Sprow; and two stepsisters, Paulie Tasker and Brenda Beltz.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Arthur Coover; one brother, Charlie S. Craig; and one sister, Jesse Craig-Brown.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021, in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with the Rev. Luke Holtry officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing was held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday in the funeral home.
