Darren L. Bryan

Darren Lynn Bryan, 50, of Shippensburg, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 9, 2021, in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Born Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1970, in Chambersburg, he was a son of Barbara Ann Bechtel Bryan of Shippensburg, and the late James Harold Bryan.

Darren was a 1989 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. He was presently a Construction Foreman for East Coast Contracting, New Cumberland, with over 25 years of service.

He was a member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post 6168, and the Minnequa Social Club where he served as a board member. Darren enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time at Bill Noll’s Cabin. In his younger years, he loved playing baseball, especially pitching.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Damon L. Bryan; two sisters, Kimberly A. (husband, Ron) Cressler, and Christina N. (husband, Jason) Lynch; one brother, Rodney P. Bryan, all of Shippensburg; one niece, Emmalee A. Lynch; one nephew, Levi J. (wife, Natasha) Cressler; two great-nieces, Sadie I. and Zoe G. Cressler, all of Shippensburg; also surviving is his companion, Judi L. Blosser of Shippensburg.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lester and Margaret Bryan, and maternal grandparents, Herman and Esther Bechtel.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2021, in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with Pastor Vic Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6 until 9 p.m. Thursday, July 15, and one hour prior to the service on Friday in the funeral home.
