Joseph B. Moyer

On Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, Joseph Bruce Moyer, loving father of four children, passed away at age 82.

Joe was born on Nov. 16, 1938, in Souderton, Pennsylvania, to Stanley and Lenore (Hunsberger) Moyer.

He served three years in the United States Army.

On May 21, 1966, he married Anita Louise Lehman. They raised four children.

Joe worked for many years at Scotland School for Veterans Children, from which he retired.

Joe was a very devout Christian and often taught Sunday School. He also loved bird watching. He was known for his quick wit and his boisterous laugh. He was a very proud grandparent, and enjoyed watching all the sports and activities involving his grandchildren.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Lenore; his wife, Anita; his brother, Glen; and sister, MaryJane Kulp.

He is survived by brother, Donald; sister, Betsy Kramer; and four children, Mark and wife Jody, Kristen Stoner and husband, Michael, Gwendolyn Ross, and Jennifer Jekot and husband, John, and 11 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, at Grace Baptist Church, 2475 McCleary Drive, Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.

Family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, in the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Pregnancy Ministries Inc., 338 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
