Shippensburg Community Parks and Recreation Authority

Joe Neville and Eric Weller bring a wealth of knowledge to their new roles as the director and assistant director, respectively, of the Shippensburg Community Parks and Recreation Authority (SCPRA). 

Neville, the former director of the Keystone Trails Association in Mechanicsburg, told Shippensburg Borough Council Tuesday he is ready to face any challenges that come his way with the new role. He possesses bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Recreation and Parks from Penn State, and a master’s degree in Recreation and Parks Management from Eastern Kentucky University. He also has worked several years with nonprofit and governmental organizations. Neville’s role with SCPRA consists of strategic planning, grant writing, budgeting and new program development.
