Local volunteers are ready to collect your books that may otherwise be collecting dust.

The Franklin County Friends of Legal Services group have scheduled two giant Book Drop-Off Days on Saturday, Feb. 11 and Saturday, March 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chambersburg Mall.

“We’d love to get your new and used books, plus CDs

(including audio books), DVDs, sheet music, puzzles, and board games,” said Carolyn Carter, a volunteer with the group,“Just follow the signs to our storeroom door and volunteers will happily receive your books. And please feel free to stay and volunteer to help us with the next couple of carloads!”

All proceeds help provide legal services in civil cases to low-income families in the local  area.

The group does not accept encyclopedias, textbooks, or phonograph records.

Receipts for tax purposes will be available on request.

Dates for the 37th annual book sale itself will be announced soon.
