Power Outage

The Greenvillage area Sheetz store and Italian Village restaurant, along with the traffic lights at a four-way intersection, lost power last Friday. A dump truck reportedly pulled down the power lines onto the highway. Many fire police departments were alerted to the scene for traffic control, shutting down Philadelphia Avenue between Greenvillage Road and Cumberland Highway.  The area was closed off for about five hours until the repairs were made and power was restored. Fire Police from the Franklin Fire Co., West End Fire & Rescue Co., Fayetteville Fire Co., and Pleasant Hall Fire Co. and Pennsylvania State Police-Chambersburg assisted on the scene.
