The Shippensburg Shade Tree Commission is a volunteer board with a mission to maintain the trees throughout the borough, including the trees that line King Street and ones planted in Memorial Park and near Dykeman Pond.

“If you want to contribute to the Shade Tree Commission, a good way to do that is by purchasing a tree and placing it in memory of or in honor of someone,” Mick Martin of the Shade Tree Commission said. “This project encourages people to help us plant trees.”
