The Big Spring High School basketball team's offense came in fits and starts, but never really got going in a loss to the Northern Polar Bears Friday at home, 68-59.

The Bulldogs (4-5, 1-3 Colonial) were unable to keep pace with the Polar Bears (8-2, 4-0 Colonial) from long range, as five Northern players combined for 10 made threes. The referee's whistle played a  major role in the stop-and-start nature of the game, with the two teams shooting a total of 67 free throws.
