Big Spring High School is hosting their annual Little Brown Jug bonfire and pep rally Thursday evening ahead of Friday's big game against the Shippensburg Greyhounds. 

The event is free and open to the public. Festivities get underway with a car smash courtesy of Hippensteel's Auto in the Bulldog Stadium parking lot beginning at 5:30 p.m. The pep rally and bonfire will follow inside the stadium at 6 p.m. Members of the Big Spring fall sports teams will compete in various games, followed by a performance by the BSHS cheerleaders and speeches from the senior captains. The bonfire will begin at approximately 6:45, with the parade through Newville to follow at 7 p.m.
