Jenn Salisbury

Big Spring grad Jenn Salisbury helped lead the UMass Minutewomen to the NCAA Final Four in 1992.

Jenn Salisbury enrolled at the University of Massachusetts in the fall of 1990 as one of the first female athletes from Big Spring to get a Division I scholarship. Almost 30 years later, the former Bulldog and Minutewomen star's field hockey career is set to come full circle, as later this month she will be inducted in the UMass Athletics Hall of Fame.

“It's an amazing honor. I was floored by it really,” Salisbury said of her induction.“The biggest thing is that I am accepting this honor for my whole team, because without certain key elements I would not have gotten those goals and I wouldn't have scored all those points.”
