Movement Outreach initiated a new form of community outreach called “Movement Cares” Saturday morning with its first project at the Hamilton-Myers VFW Post 6070 in Newville.

A crew from the Newville parish spent about five hours, starting around 7 a.m., working to fix up the old building’s roof that hadn't seen a fresh coat of paint in years. The six member crew -- Pastor Ben Jones, Heather Lawyer, Louis Gaspero, Kaiya Audette, 12, Stanley Haubert and Kevin Yost -- scraped off the old rusted wood, and then painted the roof with a fresh coat of white.
