Three Borough of Newville employees delivered relief to the Big Spring Area Food Bank Thursday in the form of two skids of food from Saylor’s Market.

Shani Holleran-Shenk, director of the food bank, said when she had trouble securing non-perishable foods for Monday’s monthly distribution, she went to Saylor’s Market in hopes of maybe getting a discount on the items she needed to fill the remaining 275 bags. She did not expect Saylor’s to donate 2,500 items.
