The Shippensburg high school track and field team set a pair of new school records on their way to a dual meet sweep of the Waynesboro Indians Thursday at SASHS.

The school records occured in the boys 4x100 relay and the 110 meter hurdles.

Delonte Wilson, Alex Sharrow, Isaiah Houser, and Adam Houser teamed up to cross the finish line in 43.7 seconds, beating their Waynesboro counterparts and breaking the old record of 44.31 seconds set in 2017. Sharrow and Houser are both holdovers from that 2017 team.

Junior hurdler Michael Reich scored first place in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.8 seconds. The time shattered the old school and stadium mark of 15.1 seconds that he matched the week before in a dual meet victory over Big Spring.

Both marks are new school and stadium records.

The Greyhound boys team defeated the Indians 99-51. Shippensburg won 10-of-18 events, but picked up 13-of-15 second place finishes, which made the final score appear more one-sided. It also marked the first time that the boys team did not eclipse 100 points in a dual meet this season.

Additional wins were recorded by Reich (300 meter Hurdles), Isaiah Houser (400 meter dash), Nick Gustafson (shot put), Noah Foust (discus), Jayden Statum (long jump), Jacob Cramer (triple jump), Alex Doyle (high jump), and the 4x100 meter relay team (Isaiah Houser, Adam Houser, Travis Bigham,  Reich).

The boys team moves to 3-0 in dual meets following Thursday night's win.

On the girls side, the Greyhounds were even more dominant, posting a 114-36 victory.

They swept first place in all 11 track events, winning 15-of-18 overall.

Senior sprinter Julia Nye led the way with wins in the 100 meter dash (13.2 seconds), 200 meter dash (28.2) and 400 meters (1:01.6).

Elsewhere, the Greyhounds showcased their depth, with 9 different athletes scoring individual wins. They included Madelyn Collet (100 hurdles), Alyssa Nori (800 meters), Tereza Halkova (300 hurdles), Sarah Hipple (3200 meters), Gabriella Nye (1600 meters), Lizzy Cramer (shot put), Eva Bailey (long jump), Hattie Riess (high jump), Kendra Ocker (javelin), the 4x100 relay (Carlee Sommerville, Eileen Pomeroy, Hannah Franklin, Alexis Reese), the 4x400 relay (Teddi Powell, Franklin, Alexis Alleman, Julia Nye), and the 4x800 relay (Nori, Samantha Herman, Gabriella Nye, Powell).

The girls team (3-0) also remained unbeaten in dual meets for the season.

The Greyhounds' next dual meet is a Colonial Division matchup against the Greencastle Blue Devils Tuesday at 3:30 from Greencastle's Kaley Field.
