Anthony Smith

Ship sophomore forward Anthony Smith (18 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks) rises for a dunk in the final minute of the Greyhounds' 55-43 victory over Big Spring Friday.

The Shippensburg high school boys basketball team traded in their usual high-flying style in exchange for a tough, hard-nosed defense effort in a victory at Big Spring Friday, 55-43.

Sophomore forward Anthony Smith was a brick wall in the painted area for the Greyhounds (3-1, 2-0 Colonial) on his way to a career night, totaling 18 points, 12 rebounds and a pair of blocked shots. Big Spring (1-3, 1-2 Colonial) point guard Javaun Moore once again showed an aggressive and unafraid mentality, taking it right to the teeth of the Shippensburg defense. He got to the line 14 times and scored a team-best 19 points.
