The penalty spot played a pivotal role in the Big Spring-Shippensburg rivalry Thursday, as the Greyhounds converted three penalty kicks in a 5-2 victory over the Bulldogs at Veterans Stadium.

Ship (2-2, 1-1 Colonial) senior Sam Orseno converted twice from the spot, while Jacob McCole added a third. Travis Bigham and Braiden Gettel scored from the run of play. Mitch Soccio and Jack Patterson netted goals in the high-scoring affair for Big Spring (2-2, 1-1 Colonial).
