The Shippensburg University volleyball team got a nine-point service run early in the second set from junior Emily Hangen on Tuesday night that flipped the momentum and helped propel the Raiders to a four-set victory at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Southeast Division rival Shepherd by set scores of 20-25, 25-13, 25-16 and 25-23 from the Butcher Center.

Shippensburg (24-4, 16-1 PSAC) overcame a loss in the first set by obtaining leads of 15-4 (following Hangen’s service run) and 21-6 in a decisive second set. In the third set, SU held leads of 10-5 and 17-9 – the latter of which came after a five-point service run from redshirt-freshman Syera McCormick.
