Greyhound Boys Basketball

The Greyhound boys basketball team practices while wearing masks Friday. High school athletes in Pennsylvania will be required to wear masks on the court during the upcoming season.

The high school sports calendar’s shift from fall to winter, and mostly outdoor sports to indoor sports, has brought with it a big change to Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf’s mask mandate -- just as COVID-19 cases have been steadily increasing across the country.

At high school sporting events in Pennsylvania, masks will be required not only in the stands and on the bench, but also on the field of play, meaning that basketball players and wrestlers will be forced to wear face coverings even as they exert themselves on the court and the mat during regular season competition.
