The No. 3 Shippensburg Greyhounds found themselves trailing in the second half for the first time all season against No. 14 Solanco, only to step up late in a District 3 5A first round victory Friday at Veterans Stadium, 42-35.

The smallest player on the field – senior running back Alex Sharrow – provided the heavy lifting for the unbeaten Greyhounds (11-0) against the Golden Mules (5-6). Sharrow rushed for 244 yards on 9 carries, breaking touchdown runs of 90, 80, and 25 yards.
