SU volleyball senior Gabriella Johnson totaled a career-high 20 kills in a victory over Kutztown Friday.

SU senior Gabriella Johnson became the eighth player in school history to record at least 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career as the Shippensburg University volleyball team defeated Kutztown, 3-1, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup from Heiges Field House. Set scores were 30-32, 25-21, 25-19 and 25-14.

Shippensburg (20-4, 12-1 PSAC) slammed 66 kills and hit .262 as it extended its win streak to five consecutive matches. Johnson achieved a career high with 20 kills to become the 11th player in school history to surpass the 1,000 career kills mark. Her 19 digs on the night marked her 14th double-double of the season for kills and digs and the 38th of her career.
