SU senior forward John Castello scored 23 points on a career-best 5 three-pointers in the Raiders' loss to Fairmont State Dec. 17.

 

The Shippensburg University men’s basketball team played its first game in 10 days on Dec. 17 but came up short in a pivotal regional matchup at Fairmont State, dropping an 84-72 decision to the Fighting Falcons from Joe Retton Arena.

Shippensburg (7-2) allowed more than 70 points in a game for the first time all season, as Fairmont State (8-2) shot 50 percent from the field and forced 20 Raider turnovers. The hosts totaled a 46-26 advantage on points in the paint and got 30 points from their bench.
