The Shippensburg University football team dropped a close game to No. 14 ranked West Chester University, 29-21, on Saturday afternoon at Student Association Field at Seth Grove Stadium.

The game was a back-and-forth affair that was dominated by both defenses. The Red Raiders’ (1-4, 1-1 PSAC) offense struggled to generate consistent production after getting off to a good start, and came up short in their attempt to tie the score on their final drive late in the game.
