Shippensburg junior Kelsey Shope netted a first half goal to give the Lady Greyhounds an early lead, only for the visiting James Buchanan Rockets to respond with a pair of second half tallies to hand the ‘Hounds a bitter 2-1 loss Thursday at Veterans Stadium.
The Greyhounds (2-10-0) created more and better offensive opportunities than the Rockets (3-6-1) over the course of the second half, but it was the opposition that took advantage of their chances, including a highlight reel goal from striker Addy Crouse and the game-winner, a set piece goal from Alexis Fluent with 12:56 remaining.
