The Shippensburg University men’s indoor track & field team returned to competition Saturday with a flourish, as redshirt-sophomore Aaron Arp Jr. broke the school record in the 200 meters and the Raiders finished second among all schools at the Gulden Invitational hosted by Bucknell University.

Arp Jr. bested all runners to win the 200 meters in 21.81 seconds (21.43 w/track conversion), a feat that surpasses the school record that had been shared by Matt Kujawski and Dru Adighibe. Kujawski ran 21.92 seconds on the Bucknell flat track in 2014 at the PSAC Championships, while Adighibe ran 21.54 seconds on the oversized track of Edinboro in 2016 at the PSAC Championships – a time which converts to 21.92 seconds on a flat track.
