Shippensburg Memorial Park

Competitive baseball returned to the area Sunday afternoon when the Shippensburg Stars hosted a doubleheader against South Penn League opponent North Carroll at Shippensburg Memorial Park.

The folding of the West Shore Twilight League and a global pandemic was working against the Shippensburg Stars getting on the field this summer in what was a highly anticipated campaign for the local semi-pro baseball club.

That adversity has only made the team stronger on the field, evidenced by their sweep of a doubleheader against the North Carroll Panthers in their season opener Sunday at Memorial Park in Shippensburg.
