High school sports are on hold in the state of Pennsylvania until at least Jan. 4, 2021, but local administrators remain hopeful and confident that there will be a 2020-21 winter sports season.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf announced last week that all high school sports in the state will be put on hold for a period of three weeks ending Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, in order to mitigate the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This isn’t the first time the governor ordered a halt to high school sports. He also did so in the spring, but what at first was a two-week stoppage ended up as the cancellation of the entire spring sports season.
