The Cumberland Valley area will be welcoming the 2019 Pennsylvania State Little League Baseball Championship Tournament to Camp Hill July 20-27.
Pennsylvania has 32 Little League Districts that all have the chance to host once every 32 years. The Cumberland Valley region is part of PA District 6, which includes Northern Lebanon and Hershey, East Pennsboro, Camp Hill, Hampden, and Cumberland Valley Little Leagues.
"We are thrilled to welcome Little League Baseball players from across Pennsylvania who will chase their dreams of a state championship right here in the Cumberland Valley," said Jamie Keener, Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation CEO. "The 'Road to Williamsport' will come through Camp Hill this summer and will bring with it a significant economic impact from the visiting players, coaches and families."
Teams will arrive July 20 and will have a welcome dinner at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg in Camp Hill. Games will begin July 21st and run through the week and end on July 27th. Games will be held at Edward R. Norford Memorial Stadium at Fiala Field Camp Hill.
All games are open to the public and free to watch. There will be a concession stand, The Potato Coop (a local food truck) and the PA Dairymen's Association Farm Show Milkshakes.
The tournament will be an 8 team double elimination style tournament. The winning team will be the 2019 Pennsylvania Little League Baseball Champion and will advance to the Little League Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament in Bristol, CT August 2-10.
