Thank the good Lord: Not to appear ungrateful or anything, but the beautiful pastel colors of spring don’t last long enough.
At the end of a long, miserable winter (And aren’t they all long and miserable?), the first hint of white or pink blossoms on bare trees provides a wake-up call and reminds us that Mother Nature is in control. But then, as soon as they appear, they’re busy making room for leaves. Seems like yesterday the neighboring magnolia tree was in bud. Now it’s green.
