Saturday, Nov. 24 is Small Business Saturday. Many shoppers are familiar with “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday,” but not familiar with Small Business Saturday. This is a shopping holiday founded by American Express in 2010 held the Saturday after Thanksgiving during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year, and is dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country.

Some may ask “Why should I shop at a small business?” When you shop at a small business, you help create jobs in your community, your tax dollars stay local, you are helping small businesses give back to the community and your neighborhood, shopping at one local business helps our local businesses and small businesses offer more unique products and personalized service.
