Steven L. Chestnut, 66, died on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at his residence in Carlisle.

He was born in Carlisle on Nov. 17, 1952, to the late Carl and Helen Blosser Chestnut.

Steve had retired from the former C.H. Maslands as a forklift operator, and had previously worked for Pepsi Co. in Newville. Steven was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was an extremely talented artist with all of his artworks.

He is survived by two brothers, Robert “Bob” and his wife, Lisa, Chestnut of Newville, and Roger and his wife, Deb, Chestnut of Shippensburg; and a sister, Lois Ann Chestnut, of Newville. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, in the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, with the Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. There will be a visitation at the funeral home following the services on Friday.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Newville, Pennsylvania.
