Harold J. McCullough

Harold J. McCullough, 71, of Shippensburg, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019, in the UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 18, 1948, in Newville, Pennsylvania. Harold was a son of the late John and Minnie Wright McCullough.

He retired from Pyramid Construction, Enola, and was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Harold was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223 and the Hub City Club, both in Shippensburg. He also was a member of the Hamilton-Myers VFW Post #6070, Newville.

Harold was a 1967 graduate of the Big Spring High School.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy L. Foltz McCullough, who passed away Aug. 22, 2013. A son, Don McCullough, and a sister, Leona McCullough, are also deceased.

Harold is survived by one son, Shawn M. McCullough and his wife, Stephanie, and their children, Walter and Luke, all of Shippensburg; a niece whom Harold and his wife raised, Amber N. Foltz of Orlando, Florida; his companion, Amy R. Day of Newville; four brothers, Maynard L. (Pearl) McCullough and Dale E. (Susan) McCullough, all of Newville, Steven L. (Sharon) McCullough and Michael A. (Cheryl) McCullough, and two sisters, Vonda L. Farlling and Glenda R. (Donald) Beatty, all of Carlisle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2019, in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be Pastor Brian Markle. Burial, with military honors conducted by the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223 Minutemen, will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, June 13, 2019, in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the South Newton Township Volunteer Fire Police, P.O. Box 49, Walnut Bottom, Pa. 17266.
