Kathleen Shaw, 58, of Newville, and a 10-year-old Newville girl suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash that occurred near Saylor’s Market at 3:18 p.m. May 13. Both were flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Shaw was operating a 2009 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic Triglide and the girl was riding as a passenger. Shaw lost control while turning left onto Carlisle Road from Mill Road in West Pennsboro Township, and crashed into a tree. The impact caused the girl to be thrown from the bike.
