Magisterial District Judge Kathy Silcox announced recently that she will seek the seat being vacated by Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas Judge Tom Placey.

Silcox has spent the last 22 years practicing law and the past seven serving as a Magisterial District Judge for Hampden and Silver Spring townships. Silcox’s experience is vast, including serving as an assistant counsel for the State Department of Revenue and then serving six different attorneys general as a prosecutor. She also ran a regional office overseeing a 14-county area.
